Job Description

Provide a safe, welcoming environment for all patrons. Supervise all in-water and out-of-water activities of swimmers and non-swimmers. Good communication skills; enforce all pool rules, regulations, and policies in a personable and professional manner. Actively guard and scan the pool area at all times; refrain from socializing while guarding. Assist in cleaning the pool area facility (e.g., swimming pool, pool deck, etc.) to maintain a safe, clean, sanitary environment Documents via the company reporting system any incidents or injuries. Assess swimmer-related safety concerns, respond appropriately to hazards or emergencies, and report incidents to the proper personnel. Dress and appearance are consistent with company standards, including wearing your uniform, swimsuit, guard shirt, whistle, and tube. Conduct pool inspections, complete pool water chemistry logs, and report imbalances or concerns to the supervisor. Record daily participation numbers and complete daily cleaning assignments. Monitor pool activities, identify unsafe behavior or swimmers in distress, ensure participant safety, and enforce pool rules and policies. Process various documents to comply with company policies and procedures. Responds to inquiries to convey information regarding swimming pool operations. Attends scheduled in-service training to convey and gather information required to perform work functions and remain knowledgeable with new operation standards and guidelines. Ready and willing to enter the water at any time. Perform other duties as assigned Summary Aquatic Academy is hiring dependable lifeguards to work 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM at our Raytown location Aquatic Facility. Qualifications Current/Up to-date Lifeguard Certification or willing to get certified. Proficient swimming skills with lifeguard certification. Provide excellent guest service to help maintain a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable pool environment. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed to support equipment setup and execute safety procedures.
