Knowledge of pool activities and operations. Seasonal employment Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Supervises swimmers and their activities.
- Maintains the cleanliness of the pool and area facility.
- Performs rescue and first aid as necessary.
- Files any accident and/or rescue reports as they occur.
- Executes excellent customer service.
- Assists with opening/closing duties.
- Attends required in-service trainings.
- Maintains an attentive lookout for potential accidents in the swimming pool and surrounding facility and appropriately corrects any problems.
- Enforces pool rules & regulations.
- Maintains the cleanliness of the pool/gate/restroom facility.
- Monitors waterslides for proper patron use and dispatches swimmers (only 16 years and up.) Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
- Skills in effective operation of the pool and swimmers.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Must be available to work irregular hours and at various intervals, including weekends, holiday and evening hours.
- Must be responsible and work well with people of all ages and dispositions.
- Must have American Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR, AED, or ability to obtain. Current certification cards must be presented before employment.
- Must be at least 15 years of age.
