Job Summary Summary Responsible for ensuring the safety of all individuals in the aquatic therapy pool and related facilities. This role involves monitoring pool activities, enforcing safety rules, and providing emergency response as needed. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions- Continuously observe pool activities to ensure the safety of all participants.
- Enforce all safety regulations and policies to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, providing first aid and CPR as needed.
- Maintain a calm and professional demeanor during emergency situations.
- Assist in the upkeep of the pool area, including monitoring water quality and cleanliness.
- Ensure that all safety equipment is in proper working order. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? Yes Licenses and Credentials Lifeguarding [ARC]
- American Red Cross required Experience Experience as a lifeguard, preferably in a healthcare or therapeutic setting 1-2 years preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficient communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and respond to emergencies.
- Physical fitness and the ability to swim proficiently.
- Knowledge of first aid, aquatic first aid and general safety.
