Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Lifeguard in Queens, where your vigilance and dedication will ensure the safety and enjoyment of all pool guests. This energetic role involves monitoring pool activities, enforcing safety rules, and providing exceptional guest services. You will be a vital part of creating a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for swimmers of all ages. All positions are paid, and this is an excellent opportunity to develop valuable skills in water safety, guest relations, and facility maintenance. Duties Constantly monitor the pool area to ensure guest safety and enforce pool rules effectively Respond swiftly and confidently to emergencies using first aid and CPR techniques Conduct routine pool maintenance, including cleaning filters, skimming debris, and ensuring water quality standards are met Assist guests with pool access, provide information about pool facilities, and address guest inquiries professionally Perform regular pool cleaning tasks such as scrubbing decks, emptying skimmer baskets, and maintaining overall cleanliness of the area Support pool operations by inspecting equipment, reporting maintenance needs, and ensuring safety equipment is in good condition Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to pool supplies or equipment as needed to maintain a safe environment Experience Previous lifeguard experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid is highly desirable or willingness to obtain upon hire Ability to swim confidently and demonstrate strong swimming skills Experience with pool maintenance or cleaning is a plus but not mandatory Comfortable performing heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with pool upkeep Strong guest service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities Join us in creating a safe, vibrant aquatic environment where fun meets safety!
