Job Summary:
The Weekend/Evening Program Instructor is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children's Specialty programs . The Program Instructor will work with the Program Director to plan ,develop and implement program activities. The Instructor will supervise activities and play, ensure children's safety, and promotes positive social interactions in accordance with facility guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision & Safety Actively monitor and care for children ages 5 weeks to 11 years (depending on facility policy).
Maintain a clean, secure, and child-friendly environment.
Follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures. Engagement & Interaction Organize and lead age-appropriate activities such as games, arts and crafts, story time, and free play.
Promote a positive and respectful atmosphere among children. Parent & Staff Communication Greet parents/guardians, manage check-in and check-out procedures.
Communicate any concerns, behavioral issues, or incidents promptly and professionally.
Collaborate with supervisors and other staff to support child care program standards. Facility Support Sanitize toys, equipment, and play areas regularly in compliance with health standards.
Monitor supply inventory and inform supervisor of needs.
Follow all facility policies, licensing regulations, and
COVID-19
safety protocols if applicable.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience High school diploma, Early Childhood Education , Recreation or Physical Education preferred
Successful Experience in child care, Childhood education preferred.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Skills & Competencies Friendly, patient, and attentive with strong communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple children with varying needs and energy levels.
