Job Description

YMCA of Greater Cincinnati is hiring a Aquatic Coordinator - Clermont Family YMCA in Batavia, OH. This is a full-time position. Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily aquatic programming and pool operations. Ensure safety protocols are consistently upheld. Maintain required certifications and safety compliance standards. Provide direct supervision of the swimming area to ensure a safe environment. Maintain records and ensure proper pool maintenance procedures are followed. Assist in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, and evaluating aquatic staff. Develop and manage lifeguard and swim instructor schedules to ensure full coverage. Provide coaching and support to team members. Lead in-service trainings and skill refreshers Teach swim lessons and aquatic classes as needed. Provide lifeguarding coverage when necessary. Deliver exceptional service to members, participants, and families. Maintain accurate program documentation and records. Support communication with families and members. Assist with program growth initiatives and retention strategies.
Qualifications Required:
Minimum age 18. High school diploma or equivalent. Current YMCA Lifeguarding Certification. CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, AED, and Oxygen certifications. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to exercise sound judgment in emergency situations.
Preferred:
Two (2) or more years of experience teaching and/or coordinating aquatic programs. Prior supervisory or lead experience. Strong working knowledge of aquatic safety and risk management practices
