Full-time Non-Exempt Summary:
The Manager on Duty (MOD) is the on-site leader responsible for overseeing daily operations on both the pool deck and the front desk (dry side) during assigned shifts. This role ensures Goldfish Swim School standards are consistently upheld in safety, customer experience, staffing, sales, and curriculum delivery. The MOD serves as the primary decision-maker and escalation point during their shift.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Acts as the leader on duty during assigned shifts and oversees pool and front desk operations. Ensures compliance with all Goldfish Swim School safety, operational, and customer service standards. Supports and coaches swim instructors, deck supervisors, and front desk staff. Ensures proper staffing, rotations, and lesson flow on the pool deck. Maintains working knowledge of pool chemistry, pump room operations, and emergency procedures. Handles parent/guardian questions, concerns, and escalations. Oversees front desk operations including scheduling, billing questions, and customer interactions. Reinforces sales and service expectations and supports enrollment efforts. Completes shift reports and communicates operational updates to management. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED required. Prior experience as a swim instructor, deck supervisor, or front desk leader preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills required.
Certificates and Licenses:
Willing to obtain and maintain a current Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certification within 90 days of hire

Work Environment:
