Through education, therapy, recreation, and family support services, we create life changing opportunities for individuals and families across our community. About Camp Cheerful Camp Cheerful provides year round recreational programming for children and adults with disabilities, including summer camps, respite weekends, adaptive sports, and outdoor experiences that promote confidence, independence, and inclusion. About the Role We are seeking energetic and safety focused Lifeguards to support our summer camp team. In this role, you will help ensure camper safety during pool activities while also contributing to a fun, inclusive, and engaging camp experience. Key Responsibilities Monitor pool areas to ensure camper safety at all times Open and close pool areas and help maintain a clean and safe environment Enforce pool safety rules and respond appropriately to emergencies or changing weather conditions Provide supervision and support to campers during swim activities Assist with daily camp programming outside of pool activities as needed Support campers with participation, engagement, and daily needs Complete incident reports and communicate concerns to leadership Work collaboratively with camp staff to create a positive camper experience Qualifications Current Lifeguard Certification required Must be at least 18 years old High School Diploma or GED required Previous experience working with children preferred Camp experience preferred Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred but not required Achievement Centers for Children is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive workplace for all employees and participants.
