Training Full Job Description Immediate Opening:

Experienced Swim Instructor Palekana Swim is a family-owned swim school dedicated to helping children build confidence, independence, and life-saving water safety skills. Unlike traditional swim programs, we focus on small, private lessons (maximum two students), allowing our instructors to form meaningful connections and tailor each lesson to the individual swimmer. Our goal is to create a calm, encouraging environment where both students and instructors can thrive. We value patience, consistency, and positive teaching, and we're proud to offer a supportive workplace with year-round lessons and a strong community of families. Immediate Opening - Part-Time Tuesday, Thursday & Fridays 2:30pm-7:00pm (start/end time varies slightly by day) Ability to fill in as needed other days of the week Starting immediately upon training completion Additional hours available, room to grow! Occasional weekend coverage desired Starting at $22/hr depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

Teach private swim lessons (maximum 2 students per lesson) Create customized lesson plans based on each student's needs and goals Ensure safety in and around the pool at all times Provide clear, encouraging feedback to help students progress Communicate with parents about student development Assist with light pool set-up and maintenance Maintain a positive, professional, and welcoming environment

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a swimming instructor is required. Certification in First Aid, and CPR (or willingness to obtain). Swimming instructor certification (WSI, YMCA, or similar certification preferred). Passion for swimming and teaching others. Ability to work with students of all ages, from children to adults. Strong communication skills, patience, and enthusiasm. Willingness to learn and grow with our company. Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings. Reliable and consistent with scheduling Ability to pass a background check
