Monitors report directly to the Shelter Manager. Duties include conducting Firewatch rounds at regular intervals, monitoring Shelter Guests, submitting daily reports, and working alongside volunteers.

Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years old. Able to legally work in the US. Must be able to work in a team environment and independently. Must be able to climb stairs, lift 30lbs, and be standing for long periods of time. Must communicate well verbally and in written form. Must be able to work in a high stress environment and learn de-escalation skills. Must be able to multi-task and prioritize assignments. Must have basic computer skills. Must be able and willing to attend training. Work will include nights and weekends. Shelter Monitors are employed from the last week of October through April of the following year.
