Job Description
Overview We are seeking seasonal lifeguards to support our multiple swimming locations. Essential Functions and Expectations Come to work in proper uniform, groomed and ready to perform by assigned start time. Properly clock in and manage any timecard issues through Paycom's employee self-service portal Be helpful, friendly and cheerful to all Members, Guests and fellow staff in the performance of his or her duties outlined in the current Aquatics Manual. Follow the Code of Conduct at all times and positively represent the Club. Assist in the opening and closing procedures of assigned pool or beach. Enforce all established rules and guidelines of the Leisure Service Guide and current year Aquatics Manual. Call the Aquatics SV on duty for assistance with disciplinary problems or Member issues. Execute the proper assists and "rescue ready" guarding techniques and scanning procedures. Safeguard Members and Guests both in and out of the water and execute the proper rescues whenever necessary. If necessary, administer proper first aid and carry out the Emergency Action Plan set forth by the Lake Naomi Club. Constantly check for safety and survey all areas for potential risks including in the pool, on deck, at the beach and in all surrounding areas. Keep all water areas and their immediate surroundings clean and assist with maintenance of these areas as needed. Report any unsafe conditions to the Supervisor on Duty. Attend seasonal Aquatics Orientation and weekly seasonal staff training sessions. Qualifications Candidate must possess a friendly attitude, good health, maturity, a sense of understanding of the seriousness and responsibility of the position and be able to work as a team player with his or her peers. Candidates must possess a valid and current Lifeguarding Certification, First Aid Certification, CPR and AED Certification. Previous work experience in an aquatic environment and Lifeguarding experience preferred.
