Work Environment, Physical Demands and Child Safety:
This position may include a combination of in-office and remote work, based on operational needs. Workspace may be shared with other staff when on-site. All YMCA Staff are mandated by law to report child abuse and neglect to Child Protective Services. Such reports can be made verbally at 1-855-444-3911. Responsibilities :
Ensures that daily care of members is first priority Responsible for the safety and well-being of participants during aquatic activities in the pool to effectively and courteously enforce all pool rules, regulations, and policies Collaborates with all center staff to ensure service excellence and timely follow up to all member questions and/or complaints Promotes YMCA programs, mission and philosophy Responds to emergency situations by adhering to the safety policies and procedures set for the Center and for the Association Must exhibit the core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility in all aspects of work with the YMCA Minimum 15 years of age Must have or be able to gain American Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate The Milwaukee YMCA will train candidates. Candidates with an application on file will be eligible to take the American Red Cross Lifeguarding course at a reduced rate of: $35.00. Able to stand for long periods of time in a warm, humid environment Available to work mornings, evenings, and weekends
