But, the number one role of Ocean Rescue Lifeguards is to provide a safe environment through Charleston county beaches for our customers. If you like to make a difference, we want you on our team!

Job Location:

Varies - Candidates will travel to the following locations: Folly Beach County Park or Pier, Isle of Palms County Park and Kiawah Beachwalker Park Specific Duties and Responsibilities Watching the beachfront and ocean to prevent accidents and injuries Providing medical aid and responding to other emergencies Completing daily physical and scenario-based training Enforcing rules and regulations Requirements Must be 16 years of age or older on first day of lifeguarding Must pass a swim and run test Must pass a drug test Must pass a criminal background check (ages 18 and over only) Maintain reliable transportation Ability to complete required training Extra Benefits Along with competitive pay, we offer some pretty terrific benefits including: Paid uniform Paid training Paid lifeguard, first aid, and CPR certifications (approx. $500 value per employee) Optional State Retirement Plan Employee Assistance Program Free parking Free admission to all of our parks and facilities - not just the one where you work - and that includes beaches and all three waterparks!
