No Job Description ECU Department of Campus Recreation and Wellness is seeking several Certified Pool Operators for the Fall 2026/Spring 2027 academic term. Certified Pool Operators will play an essential role in maintaining the safety and security of all patrons utilizing our aquatic facilities.

Responsibilities:

Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Respond to any and all aquatic chemical emergencies. Test for all pool chemicals and adjust accordingly. Back wash the pool. Demonstrate an understanding of ProMinent chemical system. Report and document all chemicals daily. Uphold the integrity and reputation of Aquatics at Campus Recreation & Wellness, and East Carolina University by providing exemplary customer service and leadership to students, staff, and patrons. Review the employee manual to be able to effectively remedy situations while mentally referencing policies, operations, and situations that adhere to everyday functions within Campus Recreation & Wellness. Reports to Assistant Director of Facilities and Sr. Assistant Director of Facilities. GPA Requirement Minimum of 2.0 Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)

Qualifications:

Current Certified Pool Operator, Aquatic Facility Operator, or comparable certification. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to work indoor and outdoor.
