Position Summary:
Responsible for protecting the safety of swimmers at Fort Sanders Health & Fitness Center. Responsibilities Practices preventative life guarding at the pools at Fort Sanders Health & Fitness Center. Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of the pools and surrounding areas including controlling chemical balancing and light maintenance. Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested. Performs other duties as requested.
Qualifications Minimum Education:
None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.
Minimum Experience:
One (1) year experience in life guarding preferred.
Licensure Requirement:
Must have and maintain lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certifications.
