Job Description
The City of Johnson City, Tennessee is accepting online reservations for a Part-Time Lifeguard to work 28 hours per week. The employee pe rforms responsible service work ensuring the safe use of the City's public swimming facilities by pool visitors and aids troubled bathers in emergencies; does related work as required. Work is performed under regular supervision. An employee in this class is responsible for supervising the City swimming pools to include lifeguarding, instructing/teaching, first aid, administrative duties, pool maintenance and observation for the purpose of a safe workplace and recreation use facility. The work includes the maintenance and care of the facilities, as well as the supervision of lifeguards. Lifeguards perform difficult protective services associated/related to pool rescues. Supervision is exercised over lifeguards under the regular supervision of the Aquatics Center Supervisor and Head Lifeguard.
