Job Description
This position is responsible for the physical safety and general maintenance of the Hopewell Community Center pool. Monitors activity of pool patrons, assists swimmers in need, and provides first aid when necessary Enforces pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe and orderly environment Assists with a variety of aquatic programs, including swimming lessons, swimming clinics, and special events Keeps pool deck, surrounding areas, shower facilities, and pool equipment clean and orderly Provides high-quality customer service Assists with maintaining a inventory of equipment, supplies, and pool chemicals Participates in training and development activities for certification maintenance Responsible for opening and closing the pool area of the Hopewell Community Center Assists with other recreational programs throughout the department as needed Assist with the organization and implementation of special events coordinated by the Department of Recreation and Parks and other city departments; may be required to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and in times of emergency (activation of the city's Emergency Operations Center).
