AED Certification Full Job Description Overview:

The Springfield Swimming and Racquet Club is seeking lifeguards for the 2026 summer season. As a Lifeguard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests at the pool. Administrative duties include documenting the number of daily visitors, assisting member and their guests with any concerns, and requesting repairs or service

• when needed.

Duties:

• Monitor pool activities to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of all guests
• Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment
• Perform pool cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure cleanliness and hygiene
• Respond promptly and effectively to any emergencies or incidents that may occur
• Provide excellent guest service by assisting with inquiries and addressing concerns
• Conduct regular inspections of the pool area to identify potential hazards or safety issues
• Administer CPR, first aid, and other life-saving techniques when necessary

Experience:

• Previous experience as a Lifeguard is preferred but not required
• Strong swimming skills and knowledge of water safety practices
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks related to pool maintenance
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations

Requirements:

• Must be at least 15 years old
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to pass a swimming proficiency test
• Current Lifeguard training course
