Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least sixteen (16) years old. Requires possession of a current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification to instruct preschool, adult, and American Red Cross aquatic programs; or must possess valid American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor certification to teach ARC Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR/AED/O2; or must possess valid certification or experience appropriate to the specialized program area, i.e., competitive swimming, diving, or specialized aquatic instruction. Must obtain American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED within 30 days of employment. Must satisfactorily complete a departmental skills test prior to employment.Special Requirements:
Must be able to work rotating shifts (days/evenings/midnights) including weekends and holidays and be available to work overtime when required to meet operational needs. All employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies.Skills :
