We provide fixed reliable work hours and we work around your school and work schedule. We offer competitive pay and provide a safe, fun, and inclusive work environment in the heart of Seattle.
Lifeguard Responsibilities include:
Ensure the safety of swimmers and guests by enforcing the rules and procedures of the Lake Union Swim Academy. Keeping the pool area clean and organized. Recognize and respond quickly and effectively to all emergencies in the aquatics area. Administer CPR, AED, and first aid as needed. Complete incident and accident reports as required. Attend and participate in monthly staff meetings and training programs. Assist swimmers with lesson registration and check-in at the front desk. Respond to questions or situations in person or over the phone. Maintains logs and records of pool chemicals.
Our ideal candidate:
Competitive swim experience of at least one year. Will be in the Seattle area for the summer. Has the ability to swim 200 yards, tread water for two minutes, and retrieve a 10-pound weight from 8 feet down. Able to work year-round in our indoor facility. Holds current lifeguard certification with the American Red Cross. Candidates without a current Red Cross certification will not be considered. An effective communicator with staff and members both in person, on the phone, and by email. At least 16 years of age. Available Shifts Monday-Thursday 3:30 to 7:45 pm Saturday 8:30 am to 1:00 pm & 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm Sunday 9:20 am to 12:00 pm & 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm
