Job Description

Hours per day: 11.5 or as assigned
Rotation:
3x3 or as assigned Reports to:
Hotel/Camp Manager Purpose of Position:
Read and complete daily paperwork. Make beds and/or change linen as directed. The linen is changed weekly and/or on check out days. Clean and sanitize rooms and bathrooms to include removing trash, vacuuming and dusting. If assigned to a smaller camp a person may be required to do laundry duties. Various approved chemicals will be used so housekeeper must be familiar with each chemical.
Educational Requirements:
High school graduate or GED equivalent.
Experience and Background:
Preferred, but not necessary: One year of work experience or training which demonstrates suitability for and knowledge of what is required in this type of work. Have a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures & cleaning supplies. Enjoy working with people; friendly, helpful and patient & able to work as part of a team. Excellent customer service skills. Good communication skills, ability to speak, read and write English. Able to record information accurately. Must be able to stay calm in difficult and stressful conditions. Ability to adhere to strict policy and procedures per company and OSHA requirements.
Certificates, Licenses and Requirements:
Valid State ID, Driver License or government-issued ID. North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) Card preferred, not required. Rotational schedule of at least 11.50 hours per day for a minimum of 21 days consecutively as required. Ability to lift & carry 25 pounds on regular basis and perform routine walking, standing and bending. There is a lack of immediate access to critical medical services, as well as urban community services. Must pass pre-hire drug test, breath alcohol test, occupational fitness test, criminal background check and computer-based testing.

Incumbents(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional duties as assigned. Duties include assigned roster paper work, making beds & replenishing linens, detailed cleaning and sanitizing rooms & bathrooms, vacuums & sweeps various areas including hallways, washes objects by hand or with cleaning equipment, removes & transports trash from various areas to appropriate disposal areas, restock sleeping rooms & bathrooms, and it may include doing laundry and report maintenance issues as required. Daily exposure to water, cleaning chemicals and solutions. Perform other duties as assigned.
