Join Our Team We are currently seeking a dependable and hardworking Housekeeping Attendant to join our Environmental Services team. This position is a great opportunity for individuals who may have limited long-term care or healthcare experience but are interested in working in a healthcare environment. The Housekeeping Attendant plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. Daily assignments may include high-touch cleaning, resident room changes, common-area cleaning, laundry duties, and other Environmental Services responsibilities as needed. Responsibilities Perform routine and detailed cleaning of assigned resident rooms, common areas, offices, and other facility spaces. Dust, sweep, vacuum, mop, and maintain floors and surfaces. Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces to support infection prevention and sanitation standards. Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas. Assist with resident room changes and room preparation as needed. Perform laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, organizing, and distributing linens. Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, and supplies in a clean and organized manner. Provide courteous and respectful assistance to residents, visitors, and staff. Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and supply needs to the appropriate supervisor. Follow facility policies regarding infection control, safety, sanitation, and resident privacy. Perform additional housekeeping and Environmental Services duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous housekeeping, janitorial, custodial, residential, or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not required. Long-term care, healthcare, or hotel housekeeping experience is a plus. Knowledge of basic cleaning, sanitation, and floor-care practices is preferred. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Dependable with strong attention to detail. Professional, courteous, and respectful when interacting with residents, families, visitors, and coworkers. Willingness to learn and follow healthcare sanitation and infection-control procedures.
