Duties Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, bed making, and bathroom sanitation using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Handle chemical agents safely by adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and proper chemical handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for yourself and guests. Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, and restrooms by executing routine janitorial tasks with precision. Utilize cleaning equipment effectively, including vacuums, floor buffers, mops, and other custodial tools to achieve optimal results. Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently during incidents or safety concerns to ensure guest and staff safety at all times. Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to linen supplies or cleaning equipment while practicing manual handling safety protocols. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests or inquiries related to housekeeping services. Qualifications Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial experience within the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of floor cleaning techniques and floor care maintenance. Familiarity with cleaning procedures involving various chemical agents and proper chemical handling practices. Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines. Excellent manual handling skills with the ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary. Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and sanitation standards required for hospitality environments. Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred; hotel experience is highly advantageous.
