Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including vacuuming, floor care, dusting, and sanitation of guest rooms, public areas, and staff facilities using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Handle chemical agents safely by understanding Safety Data Sheets (SDS), proper storage, and usage procedures to ensure a safe environment for yourself and others. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of cleaning supplies, furniture, and equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain high standards of sanitation by properly disinfecting surfaces, bathrooms, kitchens, and other high-touch areas in accordance with hotel housekeeping management guidelines. Utilize industrial cleaning techniques for deep cleaning projects or special sanitation needs following hotel emergency procedures when necessary. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests or concerns related to cleanliness or comfort. Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, steam cleaners, and other janitorial tools efficiently and safely. Follow established safety procedures during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Assist in training new team members on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and hotel housekeeping standards. Experience Proven janitorial or custodial experience within hospitality or industrial cleaning environments is preferred. Experience with hotel housekeeping management practices is highly desirable. Familiarity with floor cleaning techniques including floor care maintenance is advantageous. Knowledge of chemical handling procedures and familiarity with SDS documentation is essential for safety compliance. Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or hospitality settings will help ensure seamless integration into our team. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guest satisfaction are crucial for success in this role.
