Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Handle various cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold sanitation standards. Manage the safe handling and application of chemical agents in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel safety procedures. Conduct heavy lifting when moving furniture or cleaning supplies, ensuring proper manual handling techniques are followed to prevent injury. Maintain cleanliness of floors through specialized floor care techniques, including stripping, waxing, and polishing as needed. Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff. Keep detailed records of cleaning activities, report maintenance issues promptly, and ensure compliance with custodial standards. Assist in managing housekeeping supplies inventory and ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored. Experience Previous janitorial or custodial experience in a hotel or industrial cleaning setting is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to perform floor cleaning, sanitation, and use of cleaning equipment effectively. Familiarity with chemical handling procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) is essential for safe operations. Experience in hotel housekeeping management or hospitality environments is advantageous. Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols ensures readiness for any situation. Strong customer service skills to address guest needs professionally and courteously. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
