Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Houseman to join our hospitality team. In this vital role, you will ensure our hotel maintains the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety. Your proactive approach will contribute to a welcoming environment for our guests and support the overall operation of the hotel. Responsibilities Perform floor cleaning and general custodial tasks across guest rooms, hallways, and public areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals. Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols for sanitation and cleaning procedures. Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of furniture, supplies, or cleaning equipment to maintain cleanliness standards. Support hotel housekeeping management by ensuring all areas are maintained in accordance with hospitality industry standards. Maintain cleanliness through vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and other janitorial activities to uphold sanitation requirements. Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently to ensure guest safety at all times. Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest requests promptly and professionally. Requirements Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles within the hospitality industry. Knowledge of floor care techniques including vacuuming, mopping, and chemical handling. Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently. Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS). Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks regularly. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude toward guest satisfaction. Previous experience in industrial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred but not required.
