In this vital role, you will ensure a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and residents. Your proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance will help uphold the highest standards of facility appearance and safety. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about creating clean, organized spaces while working in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Handle custodial tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, and surface sanitization to maintain hygiene standards. Operate commercial cleaning tools such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and polishers to ensure floors are well-maintained and visually appealing. Follow safety protocols for chemical handling safety procedures and safe lifting practices during heavy lifting or manual handling tasks. Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report issues promptly for resolution. Assist with light facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting to support overall building upkeep. Adhere strictly to safety guidelines related to chemical agent handling, sanitation procedures, and equipment operation to ensure a safe work environment. Qualifications Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation (including floor buffers), and sanitation standards. Ability to handle chemical agents safely following proper safety protocol adherence. Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining cleanliness standards. Customer service skills are a plus when interacting with staff or residents in shared environments. Experience with facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is advantageous but not mandatory.
