Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Public Spaces Attendant to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and overall appeal of our public areas. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining pristine environments that enhance guest experiences and uphold our high standards of sanitation and hospitality. Your proactive approach and dedication will contribute to creating welcoming, safe, and hygienic spaces for all visitors. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning of public spaces including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques. Handle various cleaning agents safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols to ensure a secure environment. Conduct floor care activities such as vacuuming, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a spotless appearance. Manage heavy lifting tasks involving cleaning supplies or equipment to support efficient operations while following manual handling safety procedures. Ensure all sanitation standards are met by disinfecting surfaces, trash removal, and maintaining overall cleanliness in accordance with hospitality industry best practices. Operate janitorial equipment including vacuums, floor scrubbers, and steam cleaners with proper training. Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns related to cleanliness or safety in public areas, providing excellent customer service at all times. Qualifications Proven experience in janitorial work, industrial cleaning, or hotel housekeeping management is highly preferred. Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and the use of cleaning equipment. Ability to handle chemical agents safely by understanding safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols. Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking. Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety standards within a hospitality environment. Prior experience in custodial or hospitality roles is advantageous; relevant certifications in hotel housekeeping management or industrial cleaning are a plus.
