Every day you will perform a variety of cleaning and sanitization tasks across the facility, including patient rooms, common areas, offices, and clinical spaces. You will be expected to follow strict infection control protocols, operate various cleaning equipment, manage waste disposal, and respond promptly to cleaning requests, ensuring our facility consistently meets the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. To be successful in this role, you must possess a strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a pristine and safe environment in a healthcare setting. Performs cleaning and maintenance of patient care areas, offices, hallways, storerooms, corridors, stairways, hospital rooms, wards, and other areas according to established task lists, cleaning schedules on a regular and recurring basis according to the frequency of cleaning schedules and requirements. Observes area of assignment and notes and take action to clean and maintain areas. May require special attention due to frequent use or special circumstances. Personally follows up and informs supervisor to ensure the areas standards of cleanliness and infection control are maintained. Reports all leaks, clogged drains, etc. so that Maintenance may repair items in a timely manner. Maintain adequate supplies. Checks soap dispensers and refills as necessary. Restocks toilet paper and paper towel dispensers. Cleans and maintains surfaces such as ledges, shelves, over bed lights, counters, ventilating fans, door frames, hinges, door jambs, knobs, push plates, counter tops, toilet, sinks, telephones, water fountains, showers, bath tubs, walls, etc by dusting, cleaning and disinfecting with various agents, detergents, disinfectants or germicidal. Dries and polishes surfaces. Cleans and polishes dispensers. Empties waste baskets. Removes soiled linen. Removes infectious waste from patient care areas. Changes linen and makes beds. Hangs drapes and moves furniture. Cleans beds upon discharge or transfer of patients. Performs terminal cleaning or special cleaning in areas such as surgery, labor and delivery or other patient care areas with high sterility requirements.
