Examples of Duties:

As a Houseman/Groundsman, you will be assisting our team of Housekeepers, stripping guest rooms of dirty linen and terry, as well as trash, stocking closets with clean linen, terry, and amenities, while also making sure our property is both visually appealing and safe. Your responsibilities will also include but are not limited to, assisting in janitorial and maintenance support, responding to guest's requests, identifying and reporting preventative maintenance issues and safety concerns. To ensure we are providing the best services to our guests, as a Housekeeping Housemen, your duties will entail guaranteeing consistently high-quality services to our guest rooms and public areas. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Support team to reach common goals. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time.

Essential Job Functions:

Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so that health standards are met. Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers. Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas. Sweep, scrub, wax, and/or polish floors, using brooms, mops, and/or powered scrubbing and waxing machines. Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy. Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items. Deliver television sets, ironing boards, baby cribs, and rollaway beds to guests' rooms. Hang draperies, and dust window blinds. Move and arrange furniture, and turn mattresses. Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts. Follows all required safety and standard operating procedures. Follows all company and regulatory policies. Reports lost and found to Hotel supervisor Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors. Ensure that all lobbies, guest corridors, service areas, linen closets, restrooms, and storage areas are in a clean and tidy condition at all times. Oversee property maintenance of grounds, building facilities and guest rooms. Responsible for daily cleaning and upkeep, preventative maintenance, small repair and tasks, special projects, and communicating larger maintenance needs to the Manager. maintains the cleanliness of building exterior, grounds, walkways, driveway, parking areas and stairways Clear trash and empty property trash containers daily. Sweep and clean sidewalks and stairs as needed (trash and weather-related). Clear debris from parking lot, landscaping and dumpster area daily. Ensure exterior building and grounds are clean by the use of a pressure washer and blower. Oversee property maintenance of grounds, building facilities and guest rooms.
