Overview Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Hotel Maintenance Engineer/Houseperson, where your expertise keeps our property running smoothly and ensures an exceptional guest experience. This vital role combines technical skills with a proactive approach to facilities maintenance, creating a welcoming environment for all visitors. You will be responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of the hotel, contributing directly to guest satisfaction and operational excellence. Responsibilities Perform routine and preventive maintenance on hotel facilities, including electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment. Troubleshoot and repair hotel issues. Conduct residential painting, carpentry and other handyman tasks to maintain the property's appearance and integrity. Supervise contractors during projects, ensuring safety protocols and quality standards are met. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, schedule inspections, and document repairs. Assist with facilities management tasks such as supervising custodial activities and supporting overall housekeeping operations. Lead safety inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all maintenance activities. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests related to room or facility issues. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge coupled with experience in facilities maintenance and building systems. Hands-on experience with residential painting, carpentry, and general handyman skills. Electrical experience including wiring, circuit analysis, and safety standards adherence. Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and maintenance tracking. Experience leading contractors effectively while maintaining high safety standards. Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate with team members and guests seamlessly.
