A Maid or Housekeeping Staff provides cleaning and housekeeping services, primarily for rooms and bathrooms in hotels and hospitals. May also work in private residences, office buildings, colleges, other institutions.
$29.25 an hour Please note that the Toyota Arena employees are covered by a collective bargaining agreement with Unite Here Local 11, and a condition of employment is a union membership.
Essential Functions:
Under direction of the Housekeeping Manager or Supervisor, performs general cleaning throughout the facility. Cleans floors, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and waxing. Cleans and stocks bathrooms. Dusts areas that contain furniture, such as offices. Cleans windows.
Experience/Training/Education:
Desirable:
At least one-year experience in a housekeeping or janitorial position.
Knowledge/Abilities/Skills/Knowledge of:
Safe work practices, General cleaning procedures.
Ability to:
Read, write, and speak English. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Work in a team atmosphere. Maintain a professional demeanor at all times. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours Skill to: Operate radio devices. Operate equipment, scrubbers (riding and walk behind), sweepers (riding), vacuums, etc.
