! We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, self-motivated, and responsible Housekeeping and Laundry staff member to join our outstanding team at North Bay Post Acute in Petaluma, CA. Full-time MID shift needed. North Bay Post Acute is a 98-bed skilled nursing facility located in a great community in Petaluma, CA. Job Summary Join our dedicated environmental services team as a Housekeeping Laundry Aide, where your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will create a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of sanitation through laundry and cleaning tasks that support the health and comfort of our residents or patients. Your proactive approach and teamwork will help ensure our facility remains a pristine and safe space for all. Responsibilities Operate laundry equipment to wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, uniforms, and other textiles efficiently and safely. Perform thorough cleaning of patient rooms, common areas, restrooms, hallways, and other designated spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and techniques. Follow established sanitation protocols to prevent infection spread and ensure compliance with health regulations. Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, or carpet care as needed to promote a safe environment. Properly handle and dispose of waste materials in accordance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards. Restock supplies such as cleaning agents, linens, and personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure continuous operational readiness. Document cleaning activities and laundry processing in logs or reports for accountability and quality assurance. Qualifications Prior custodial or janitorial experience in healthcare or environmental services preferred. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to cleaning, sanitation, and handling hazardous materials. Experience with floor care techniques including stripping, waxing, buffing, or carpet cleaning is a plus. Strong understanding of infection control practices relevant to hospital or healthcare environments. Ability to operate laundry machines safely and efficiently. Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy loads safely, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks.
