Taproom Operations 1. Position Overview The Beer Server / Taproom Attendant is a front-facing role dedicated to delivering an exceptional guest experience. The primary focus of this position is to welcome patrons, provide expert knowledge regarding beverage offerings, and maintain a pristine, inviting environment. The ideal candidate possesses a passion for craft beer and alternative fermentations (mead, hard seltzers, etc.) and takes professional pride in operational excellence and facility cleanliness. 2.
Key Responsibilities Guest Service:
Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service to all guests.
Compliance:
Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly and in strict compliance with California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) regulations and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) standards.
Product Knowledge:
Actively engage guests in discussions regarding beer styles, flavor profiles, and current taproom offerings.
Financial Transactions:
Efficiently operate the Point of Sale (POS) system and ensure all financial transactions are handled with accuracy and integrity. 3. Taproom Operations & Cleanliness Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness is a core requirement of this role.
Duties include:
Continuous sanitation of bar tops, service stations, tables, seating, and high-touch surfaces. Regular maintenance and restocking of restrooms throughout the duration of the shift. Proper washing, sanitization, and storage of all glassware according to standard operating procedures. Cleaning and maintenance of draft equipment components (tap handles, drip trays, etc.) as directed. Managing trash removal, recycling, and general facility upkeep to ensure a professional brand image. 4. Bar & Service Support Proactively restock beer, glassware, and service supplies. Assist with keg changes and maintain general awareness of draft system functionality. Execute opening and closing duties, including full station breakdown and reset. Monitor inventory levels and communicate low-stock alerts to management. Ensure proper labeling, rotation, and handling of all beverage products. 5.
Position Requirements Mandatory Availability:
Night and weekend availability is a mandatory requirement for this position.
Communication:
Highly outgoing and enthusiastic personality with a commitment to guest engagement.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand for extended periods and the capacity to lift and move kegs or cases (up to 55 lbs) as needed.
Certification:
Must possess or obtain a valid California RBS Certification and any other locally required permits.
Competencies:
Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
Pay:
From $16.90 per hour
