ABOUT THE FAMILY A

warm, busy family in San Francisco is seeking an exceptional full time Housekeeper for their large, newly remodeled private residence. The multi level home includes six bedrooms, six bathrooms, and three half bathrooms, and the household includes three young children, a dog, nannies, and other household support, creating an active and dynamic environment throughout the day. While the family's day to day lifestyle is comfortable and family centered, the home is maintained with formal standards of cleanliness, care, discretion, and presentation. They are looking for someone who takes genuine pride in their craft and appreciates the details that make a beautifully maintained home feel effortless. The household has a collaborative, team oriented culture where everyone is willing to lend a hand when needed. The Housekeeper will have primary ownership of maintaining the home while working alongside the family's nannies and other household support. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate is highly professional, self directed, observant, and exceptionally thorough. They naturally notice what needs attention and take care of it without waiting for direction. This person understands how to maintain a high end residence and approaches housekeeping as a profession. They are thoughtful about how a home functions, create systems when helpful, and know how to prioritize daily needs while rotating through spaces and projects that require less frequent attention. A calm and discreet presence is especially important. The home can be bustling with children, nannies, vendors, and family activity, so the Housekeeper should be comfortable working efficiently and quietly around others while maintaining excellent standards. Just as important is a flexible, helpful mentality. While housekeeping is the primary focus of the position, the family values someone who is comfortable pitching in when needed, whether that means lending a hand in the kitchen during a busy morning, helping with a household task, or occasionally feeding or walking the family dog. This is not a childcare position, but the right candidate should genuinely enjoy being around children and feel comfortable in a home with young kids. The family would especially value someone with experience in private homes, luxury hospitality, five star hotels, or similarly high touch environments.

HOUSEHOLD DUTIES

Responsibilities will include maintaining the overall cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the residence, including: Daily care and cleaning of main living spaces, kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms Detailed cleaning and thoughtful upkeep of a newly remodeled, multi level home Laundry and wardrobe care for the parents, including washing, drying, folding, organizing Ironing and steaming as needed, along with dry cleaning coordination Bed making and changing linens Maintaining an orderly, polished kitchen throughout the day Providing light kitchen and breakfast support during busy mornings as needed Keeping household spaces organized, refreshed, and beautifully presented Rotating through guest rooms, lesser used spaces, and deeper cleaning projects throughout the week Maintaining household backstock, cleaning products, supplies and ensuring used items are replenished and well organized Creating and maintaining practical household and housekeeping systems as needed Recognizing areas that need attention and proactively addressing them Working collaboratively alongside staff while taking primary responsibility for the overall housekeeping of the home Providing occasional light pet care, such as feeding or walking the family dog Providing occasional additional household support surrounding events or special circumstances

SCHEDULE & STAFFING STRUCTURE

Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Housekeeper will be primarily responsible for the care and upkeep of the residence. The family also employs nannies who help maintain the household throughout the day, and the overall environment is collaborative and team oriented. Because this is a large, multi level residence with a fair amount of stairs, candidates should be comfortable being active and moving throughout the home during the workday. Some flexibility for occasional evenings, weekends, events, or additional household support is appreciated with advance notice.

QUALIFICATIONS

Professional housekeeping experience in a high end private residence Exceptional knowledge of cleaning methods, household care, and organization Experience caring for high quality finishes, furnishings, and materials Strong laundry, garment care, ironing, and steaming skills, including experience caring for delicate and high quality clothing Comfortable maintaining a large, multi level residence and navigating stairs throughout the workday Excellent attention to detail and consistently high standards Highly self directed with the ability to prioritize and manage responsibilities independently Strong judgment and ability to anticipate household needs Organized and capable of maintaining household supplies, backstock, and practical systems Calm, discreet, polished, and professional demeanor Warm and comfortable working around young children while understanding that this is not a childcare position Comfortable with dogs and willing to provide occasional light pet care Collaborative and respectful when working alongside other household staff Flexible and willing to lend a hand when the household needs additional support Reliable, efficient, and committed to maintaining confidentiality and privacy Genuine pride in housekeeping as a profession To ensure the success of our nanny position, we have established the following requirements: A minimum of 5 years of recent, professional experience Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
