Santa Barbara's Castillo Inn is seeking a motivated Part-Time Hotel Housekeeper to join our dedicated team on the weekends! In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests. Your energetic approach will help uphold our standards of hospitality and safety. Responsibilities Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and public spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment Handle chemical agents safely, following safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols Vacuum carpets, sweep floors, mop surfaces, and perform floor care to maintain a pristine environment Manually lift and move furniture or supplies as needed, adhering to heavy lifting safety procedures Restock amenities such as towels, toiletries, and linens to ensure guest satisfaction Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns Maintain cleanliness standards by inspecting work areas regularly and reporting any maintenance issues Skills Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial roles with strong custodial skills Knowledge of floor cleaning, sanitation practices, and industrial cleaning methods Ability to handle cleaning equipment efficiently and safely Familiarity with chemical handling and safety procedures in a hospitality setting Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, vacuuming, and extended periods of standing or walking Understanding of hotel housekeeping management principles and safety protocols Join us to deliver outstanding hospitality by creating clean, safe, and welcoming environments for our guests!
