Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational facilities by sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces. Handle cleaning chemicals safely by following proper procedures outlined in Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and using appropriate personal protective equipment. Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and steam cleaners efficiently to achieve optimal results. Manage heavy lifting tasks involving furniture or supplies with proper manual handling techniques to prevent injury. Follow hotel emergency procedures and sanitation protocols to ensure guest safety at all times. Document cleaning activities accurately and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management. Skills Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial roles with a strong understanding of industry standards for cleanliness and sanitation. Expertise in floor care techniques including floor cleaning, stripping and polishing to maintain high-quality surfaces. Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly while adhering to safety guidelines for chemical handling and storage. Skilled in using various cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, mops, and steam cleaners with efficiency and care. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude that enhances guest satisfaction and promotes a welcoming atmosphere. Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices and hospitality industry standards.
