Responsibilities Perform floor cleaning and floor care using appropriate equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and mops to ensure surfaces are spotless and safe for guests and staff. Handle cleaning tasks in guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and service spaces with precision and efficiency. Safely operate cleaning equipment and handle chemical agents in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel safety protocols. Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, linens, furniture, or equipment to support housekeeping operations. Maintain sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning bathrooms and other high-touch areas using industry-approved cleaning procedures. Support hotel housekeeping management by restocking supplies, reporting maintenance issues, and ensuring compliance with hotel emergency procedures. Uphold safety standards through proper chemical handling practices and adherence to janitorial safety guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries. Qualifications Prior custodial or janitorial experience in a hotel or industrial cleaning environment is highly preferred. Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques including vacuuming, stripping, waxing, and buffing floors. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged periods of standing or walking. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guests and team members. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and sanitation standards is an advantage.
