Job Description
Job Overview As a Room Attendant you are responsible for cleaning guest rooms and other public areas to uphold the hotel's service standards. You are a team player who is dedicated to completing all job functions while maintaining excellent guest service and positive coworker interactions. The Room Attendant/Housekeeper should enthusiastically carry out all instructions from supervisors and follow safety procedures to provide the most enjoyable guest experience. Essential Functions Clean and prepare guest rooms by properly making beds, restocking supplies, replacing linens and towels, and ensuring bathrooms and amenities meet hotel standards. Vacuum, mop, dust, and sanitize all surfaces and floors, including walls, windows, fixtures, furniture, and sliding doors using proper cleaning chemicals per OSHA guidelines. Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned areas including guest rooms, hallways, stairwells, vending areas, foyers, and linen closets. Stock and manage housekeeping cart with necessary supplies, tools, and linen throughout the shift; return and restock at end of day. Complete deep cleaning and scheduled projects to uphold cleanliness and presentation standards in rooms and public areas. Report maintenance issues and remove unneeded room items (e.g., rollaways, cribs) as needed; turn in lost and found items to the supervisor. Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, anticipating needs and delivering high-quality service. Follow all safety, security, and hotel procedures while working efficiently with other departments and adhering to attendance and reliability standards. Maintain knowledge of and comply with departmental policies, service procedures, 4 Keys service standards, and safety and security procedures. Perform all additional duties as assigned by management. Skills and Abilities Understand and align with the mission, vision, and goals of the hotel. Prioritize tasks, work efficiently with limited supervision, and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy. Communicate effectively in the primary workplace language, demonstrating excellent communication, follow-up, and organizational skills. Work well under pressure and in challenging conditions, using good judgment to resolve problems, follow directions, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
