Duties Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold cleanliness standards. Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and proper care to ensure a polished and professional appearance. Handle janitorial tasks such as waste disposal, restocking supplies, and sanitizing restrooms and common areas regularly. Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report them promptly. Assist with light custodial duties such as window cleaning and minor repairs to support overall facility upkeep. Support industrial cleaning tasks when required, including deep cleaning of large areas or specialized equipment. Participate in residential painting projects or touch-ups as needed to maintain aesthetic appeal. Follow health and safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Collaborate with maintenance teams on facilities maintenance activities to ensure smooth operations. Use appropriate cleaning tools and chemicals efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience is highly preferred; familiarity with commercial or industrial cleaning is a plus. Experience with floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors. Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices including basic repairs and safety inspections. Previous porter experience or background in industrial cleaning enhances your suitability for this role. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning equipment comfortably. Strong attention to detail combined with excellent organizational skills ensures thoroughness in all duties.
