ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

Cleans resident apartments, public areas, offices, restrooms, and other assigned Community spaces according to established schedules, cleaning procedures, and quality standards. Performs routine and deep cleaning assignments in accordance with cleaning schedules and protocols. Maintains clean, sanitary, safe, and attractive resident living environments and common areas. Removes trash / recyclable materials in accordance with policies and infection prevention procedures. Cleans, disinfects, and sanitizes resident rooms, bathrooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and high-touch surfaces. Completes daily housekeeping assignments efficiently while maintaining quality, safety, and resident satisfaction. Completes and submits required documentation, including housekeeping checklists, cleaning logs, and assigned records, accurately and on time. Identifies, documents, and promptly reports maintenance needs, equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, and environmental concerns to the appropriate department. Observes resident apartments for cleanliness, safety, and potential hazards and promptly reports concerns to management. Assists with laundry operations, including washing, drying, folding, hanging, sorting, delivering, and replenishing resident clothing and Community linens as assigned. Stocks and maintains housekeeping carts, supply rooms, and cleaning equipment to ensure adequate inventory and organization. Uses cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies safely and in accordance with manufacturer instructions, company policy, and applicable regulations. Maintains a safe, secure, and infection-controlled environment for residents, visitors, and team members. Demonstrates professionalism, teamwork, and a positive attitude while serving as a role model. Participates in required meetings, education, and ongoing training programs. Protects the confidentiality of residents, employees, and proprietary business information in accordance with company policy and applicable privacy laws. Reports to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrates reliability, professionalism, and punctuality. Regular attendance is an essential function of the position. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrates knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, infection prevention, and safety standards. Demonstrates excellent customer service, organizational, and time management skills. Prioritizes work effectively while meeting quality standards and deadlines with minimal supervision. Works cooperatively as a positive member of the interdisciplinary team. Maintains professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion regarding resident, employee, and company information. Follows written and verbal instructions, policies, procedures, and safety standards. Wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follows infection prevention practices. Assists with emergency preparedness activities, including resident evacuation and disaster response, as assigned.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education or Experience:
High School diploma or GED and at least six months' related experience. Training or willingness to train in dementia care practices (validation, redirection, and engagement strategies) is required.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
Math Ability:
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and volume.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of time clock usage for capturing hours worked, and a corresponding phone app for reviewing/submitting timesheets and requesting off.
