We're looking for a family assistant to help us run the household during the busiest stretch of the day. This is a household role first , and childcare second. If you take satisfaction in a well-run home where you walk out at the end of the day with the kitchen clean, laundry folded, and tomorrow's lunches made, this is a good fit. Schedule 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, six days a week. Your choice of Monday-Saturday or Sunday-Friday . Same hours every day, 30 hours a week. The boys get home around 4:00-5:00pm depending on activities, so you'll have time for errands or to get a head start on laundry and prep. What you'll do Most of the role is household work supporting a family of five: Dishes and resetting the kitchen Laundry, start to finish Errands — grocery pickup, returns, dry cleaning, the pharmacy, and whatever else comes up that week. You'd use our car and a household card, so nothing comes out of your pocket. Helping with our weekly meal prep Portioning and packing lunches for the boys and for us Getting dinner on the table the rest of the week, which usually means reheating and serving Cleaning up after dinner Tidying rooms and keeping the house organized No culinary background required . We cook plain, simple food in batches. If you can follow a straightforward recipe and don't mind chopping vegetables, you'll be fine. We have a housekeeper who deep cleans once or twice a week, so this is upkeep rather than heavy cleaning. The rest is time with the boys: Helping with the bedtime routine Covering for date nights Being a calm, steady presence for a few hours Driving the boys now and then for school pickup, drop-off at activities, or trips to the park to give Mom a break. Occasional overnights. A few times a year we travel without the boys and would ask you to stay at the house. You'd have a private bedroom and bathroom, and the time is paid, including overtime.
