Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, and sanitizing surfaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) and proper chemical handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for yourself and others. Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces through regular cleaning routines and sanitation practices. Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving supplies, furniture, or equipment while adhering to manual handling safety protocols. Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained, stored, and operated efficiently to maximize productivity. Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns, ensuring guest and staff safety at all times. Provide excellent customer service by responding courteously to guest requests and inquiries related to housekeeping services. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience with a strong understanding of floor cleaning, vacuuming, and general sanitation practices. Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely by understanding SDS guidelines and chemical handling procedures. Experience with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, mops, and other janitorial tools. Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks required in housekeeping duties. Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills to ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained consistently. Prior hotel experience is preferred but not mandatory; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential.
