Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated, experienced and energetic Housekeeper to join our team at small locally owned hotel and help create a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents and guests. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of rooms, ensuring all surfaces, floors, and furnishings are spotless and well-maintained. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will contribute to the overall satisfaction of our clients, providing a pristine environment that exceeds expectations. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of rooms and common area spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing floors using appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents. Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure health standards are consistently met or exceeded. Maintain cleanliness of surfaces, appliances, bathrooms, kitchens, and outdoor areas as needed. Use manual handling techniques safely when lifting heavy objects or moving furniture during deep cleaning or floor care tasks. Manage time efficiently to complete assigned cleaning duties within scheduled periods while maintaining high-quality standards. Communicate effectively with clients or residents to understand specific cleaning preferences or special requests and ensure their satisfaction. Qualifications Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or hotel housekeeping is highly desirable. Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and the proper use of cleaning detergents and equipment. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks with precision. Strong organizational skills with excellent time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively. Customer service skills to interact professionally with clients or residents and address their needs courteously. Outdoor work experience is a plus for maintaining exterior spaces or outdoor furniture. Familiarity with carpet cleaning techniques and floor care methods is advantageous.
