Job Description

Position Summary:
The Mailroom Attendant plays a key role in supporting students by ensuring their mail and packages are received, processed, and distributed efficiently. This position provides direct customer service to students, helping them pick up deliveries, send out mail, and navigate the campus mail system. The Mailroom Attendant serves as a helpful and reliable point of contact for students while maintaining accurate package tracking and a welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Receive daily deliveries from carriers such as UPS, FedEx, DHL, and Amazon, and scan packages into the automated mail system. Organize, store, and manage incoming packages for secure and easy retrieval. Greet and assist students when they come to pick up packages, ensuring a positive and efficient experience. Guide students on mailing letters, shipping packages, and using different carriers. Assist with outgoing mail and packages, including weighing, labeling, and coordinating carrier pickups. Communicate clearly and courteously with students about package procedures, policies, and mailroom services. Maintain a clean, organized, and student-friendly mailroom space. Collaborate with campus associates to ensure smooth mailroom operations and quality service. Support additional campus service needs or events related to student mail and packages as assigned.
Qualifications:
Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor. Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage a high volume of packages. Comfortable using computer-based mail tracking systems. Ability to lift packages (up to 50 lbs.) and stand for periods of time. A team player who enjoys working with and supporting students. #LI-DNI
