Duties Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, and sanitation of bathrooms using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Handle cleaning tasks in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, and restrooms to uphold high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Manage the safe handling and application of chemical agents in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and hotel safety procedures. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks when moving furniture, linens, or cleaning supplies to ensure efficient room turnover. Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and specialized floor care techniques to ensure safety and aesthetic appeal. Follow hotel emergency procedures and sanitation protocols diligently to guarantee guest safety at all times. Use cleaning equipment effectively while adhering to proper safety standards, including custodial experience with industrial cleaning tools when necessary. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience within a hotel or hospitality environment is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and chemical handling procedures. Experience with hotel housekeeping management or supervisory roles is a plus but not required. Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) ensures compliance with health and safety regulations. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with guests and team members alike. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in industrial or commercial cleaning settings will be considered an asset for this energetic role.
