In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a spotless environment. Handle various cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment such as vacuum cleaners, mops, and polishing tools to maintain floor care and overall cleanliness. Safely handle chemical agents and cleaning supplies in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols to ensure safety for yourself and others. Conduct sanitation of public areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces to uphold hygiene standards. Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or supplies while adhering to manual handling safety procedures. Follow hotel emergency procedures when necessary, ensuring guest safety at all times. Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, supplies used, and safety compliance for accountability and quality assurance. Skills Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial roles with a strong understanding of hospitality standards. Expertise in floor cleaning techniques including floor care and industrial cleaning methods. Skilled in operating various cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and steam cleaners. Knowledge of chemical handling procedures and safety protocols to prevent accidents or exposure. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with guests and team members. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management systems and custodial best practices. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining high attention to detail. Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) compliance requirements.
