Key Biscayne, Florida Overview We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented housekeeper for a private residence in Key Biscayne. A separate apartment will be provided as part of the position; the employee will not live at the residence. The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming home. They must be trustworthy, proactive, comfortable caring for dogs, and able to complete routine responsibilities without constant supervision. Clear communication in English is required. Responsibilities Perform daily and scheduled cleaning throughout the residence, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living areas, and other household spaces. Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, sanitize surfaces, and maintain floors, rugs, furniture, and fixtures. Make beds and change bed linens as needed. Wash, dry, fold, organize, and properly store household laundry, linens, and clothing. Maintain an organized and well-stocked kitchen, pantry, closets, laundry room, and household supply areas. Monitor cleaning products and household supplies and notify the household manager when items need to be reordered. Complete periodic deep-cleaning projects, including appliances, cabinets, baseboards, windows, and other detailed areas. Keep outdoor living areas, entrances, and patios tidy. Follow established housekeeping checklists and complete assigned daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal tasks. Properly care for household furnishings and use the correct cleaning products for different materials and surfaces. Report maintenance issues, damage, low supplies, or other household concerns promptly. Provide basic care for the household's dogs, including letting them outside and making sure they are safe and comfortable. Come to the residence for scheduled weekend dog let-outs during the off-season. Assist with other reasonable household tasks as needed. Schedule Regular working hours are 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Each regular workday includes a one-hour unpaid lunch break , resulting in eight paid working hours per day . The schedule and workload may vary depending on the season and the household's needs. From June through December, the schedule will be reduced to approximately 30 hours per week . Some weekend hours will be required during this period, primarily to let the dogs outside and provide basic care. Flexibility may occasionally be required when the household is occupied, hosting guests, or preparing for arrivals. Qualifications Previous professional housekeeping experience in a private residence is strongly preferred. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English. Must be comfortable with dogs and knowledgeable about their basic care. Dependable, trustworthy, discreet, and respectful of the family's privacy. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards. Able to follow established household procedures and task lists. Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage time effectively. Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and proper care for different surfaces and materials. Able to stand, bend, reach, and perform household cleaning duties for extended periods. Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
