Green Grove Hotel — Where Great Careers Take Root! Join our opening team and be a part of something special from day one! We are building our team for the beautiful Green Grove Hotel , a new 150-room boutique hotel coming to Middleton, FL, within The Villages, opening Q4 2026! We're looking for Part-Time and Full-Time Houseperson/Public Area Attendant to help make our hotel shine. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities for this position include the following; While this is intended to be an accurate reflection of the current job, Management reserves the right to revise the job or to require that other or different functions to be performed when circumstances change or exigencies require (this includes but is not limited to emergencies, changes in personnel, workload, rush jobs or technology developments).
  • Walk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift; remove trash and dirty linen outside guest rooms, empty ash urn receptacles, change trash receptacles and note any areas that need immediate cleaning.
  • Clean all public areas in the prescribed manner while following safety and security procedures and regulations .
  • Remove soiled linen, terry and trash from the service areas and take to the appropriate locations in the prescribed manner.
  • Aid section housekeepers with bed boards, pack n plays, additional linen, etc.
  • Fulfill guest requests and handle guest problems/complaints to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Report any missing articles, damage, or mechanical problems to the Supervisor.
  • Turn in all articles left in guest rooms to the Supervisor to be logged in Lost and Found.
  • Secure and maintain custody of equipment, keys, and supplies to protect and preserve hotel property.
  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor.
  • Assist is breakfast during breakfast hours as needed.
  • Clean and replenish towels/soap as needed in public bathrooms throughout day
  • Clean and maintain meeting space as needed based on usage
  • Help laundry sort linens as needed throughout day.
  • Stock pool area with towels and make sure area is organized, clean for guest usage.
  • Walk outside perimeter and pick up debris and garbage. Sweep along curbing of hotel.
  • Sweep and mop lobby area
  • Stock fitness center with towels and make sure area is organized, clean for guest usage
  • Walk stairwells, pick up debris, mop and sweep if needed.
  • Inspect elevators while maintaining cleanliness. Sweep and mop if needed and clean elevator tracks.
  • Keep storage rooms organized and stocked if needed
  • Deliveries - help put housekeeping/breakfast deliveries away
  • Assist Executive Housekeeper/Housekeeping Supervisor with any projects including deep cleaning of guest rooms.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Related experience preferred.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or portfolio specific training to co-workers.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from team members and staff. English is required for oral and written communications (bilingual, Spanish speaking a plus).
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an Associate to successfully perform the essential job functions of this position. While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The Associate frequently is required to stand and walk. The Associate constantly is required to push a loaded supply cart. The Associate is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. This position requires prolonged hand and wrist movement/usage. The Associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those Associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Associate and Supervisor have reviewed the above job description and determined that it accurately reflects the position. NOTE:
The hotel functions 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. All associates must realize this fact and be aware that at times it may be necessary to adjust schedules based on business needs.
