Job Description

Overview The Facilities Housekeeping and Maintenance Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, safety, and functionality of the community's clubhouse, amenity facilities, and common grounds. This position performs routine cleaning, groundskeeping, power washing, facility upkeep, and light maintenance and repairs while helping ensure a safe, attractive, and welcoming environment for residents and guests. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of the clubhouse, restrooms, fitness center, meeting rooms, event spaces, and other common areas as needed.
  • Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of amenity spaces, sidewalks, parking areas, and grounds through sweeping, blowing, power washing, litter and debris removal, and other routine upkeep.
  • Perform general grounds maintenance, including minor landscaping support and upkeep of outdoor furniture, signage, recreational areas, and other community amenities.
  • Conduct routine inspections of facilities and common areas to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, cleanliness issues, or necessary repairs.
  • Perform light handyman and maintenance tasks, including basic carpentry, painting, fixture replacement, furniture assembly, and minor plumbing or repair work.
  • Safely operate and maintain pressure washers, leaf blowers, hand tools, ladders, cleaning equipment, and other maintenance equipment.
  • Assist with the setup, breakdown, and preparation of community events, meetings, and rental functions.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders and communicate issues requiring additional attention to management.
  • Maintain an appropriate inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies, equipment, and materials and notify management when replenishment is needed.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe maintenance areas, storage spaces, and equipment.
  • Follow all applicable safety procedures and properly use cleaning products, tools, and equipment.
  • Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with residents, guests, vendors, and team members.
  • Proactively address cleanliness, maintenance, and appearance issues to support a well-maintained and welcoming community environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on the needs of the community and management. Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance, janitorial, housekeeping, groundskeeping, or a related field preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment, and general repair techniques.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize assignments, and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness, safety and quality.
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and customer-service focused.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with residents, guests, vendors, and team members.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends or holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and work from various positions. Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Operate cleaning equipment, hand tools, power equipment and ladders safely. Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, humidity, and rain. Perform repetitive motions and remain physically active throughout the workday. Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Work Environment This position operates in an active, resort-style community environment and works throughout the clubhouse, café, fitness center, meeting rooms, event spaces, pool deck, park areas, and other common areas. The Facilities Associate routinely works both indoors and outdoors and may be exposed to varying temperatures, moderate noise levels, cleaning chemicals, dust, and seasonal fluctuations in activity. The position requires frequent movement throughout the community and regular interaction with residents, guests, vendors, and team members. Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
